Lena Stenberg has worked with Light, an artistic exchange between artists in Sweden and Ukraine. The presentwork, Occuption, is about the conflict that began in Ukraine in 2014. Suddenly Ukraine was occupied.
The art project Light had planned to visit Crimea, but the trip had to be cancelled when Russia invaded the peninsula. They went to Odessa instead. War was a stone’s throw away but it went unnoticed there – except for a general fear and uncertainty of what the future held.
